    Starter Wiring

Rebuilding a '87 Magnum 350 in Z21 and need input on starter wiring. Had old starter sent out for rebuild and they replaced the solenoid with a different version, 3 posts.

None of the wiring diagrams that I have give enough detail to see which wires go where. Here is how I "think" it should be wired.

    * Red (+) battery, Red to Circuit Break and Orange to Alternator all on large post.

    * Yellow / Red attaches to the "S" terminal on solenoid

    * "B" terminal will be empty (I believe that this is used for by-passing the resistor when starting in a points setup.

Can anyone confirm / correct my assumptions....

    Thanks,

    DTM
