    ZX22 Fuel Capacity

I have a 1997 ZX22 and I'm trying to find out the stock fuel capacity. Boat had a 454 from the factory and I believe the fuel tank is stock. I've seen published figures ranging from 45 gallons to 60 gallons. Can anyone enlighten me?

If you want to know the capacity of YOUR tank, find the access plate to the sender end of the tank, take off the plate and read the nameplate on the tank. Donzi has used different manufacturers and styles of tanks through out the years.

    1999 22ZX fuel tank

Sorry this has taken so long to respond but have been moving my professional office this month. I know you sent me a personal e-mail.

    Tank for my 1999 22ZX -

I pulled the floor plug, the one you walk over all the time - there is a fuel shut off valve to cut fuel to the engine and also the tank sending unit. Embossed on the tank is its part number and capacity.

I can't find my notes from the last time I inspected the tank but if memory serves me it was a Moeller tank made of polyethlyene. Fifty gallon capacity part number 023550 with the following dimentions. Length 45" x width of 12.5" and height of 22".

Like the others said pull up the carpet pop the access plug with a screwdriver or pull the ring if equipped - read the info.

I had one made for the 22Cs. Get me your tank manufacturer and the model number of the nameplate and I will see how compatible it is.

Check out these threads for all the info. I never included the 22zx because I had no info on the tanks and nobody who owned a 22zx chimed in.
