    Lady in red

July's Powerboat has an article on the Super 80' Roadster built by Nor-Tech and Red Reynolds.

Eighty stinkin' feet, 80,000 lbs., twin 1,900 hp Caterpillar ACERT diesels, Arneson ASD 14's, and a top speed in the mid-60's. Six blade Ellis props with a 36" diameter and 54" pitch!

The article calls it a "condo on water", and in the pics the people look miniature because the boat is so massive. It has a telescopic radar arch, and cruising at 50 it uses 135 gph, giving it a 450 mile range due to the 1,200 gal. fuel capacity.

Buzzing from Sarasota to the Keys, running in 4-5 footers without spilling their drinks, and jammin' to the 10,000 watt stereo system with 22 speakers in the cockpit alone!

Oh, and by the way, one like it can be yours for a cool $4.5 million!

    Thumbs down It's OK~

    BUT~
Where do you stow the twin Donzi tenders ?

For me~~~ that's the real deal breaker.

At least the old slow Forbes Yacht Highlander has Donzi & Cigarette tenders stowed on her deck.

I did a few fast, fun turns around the Highlander near the Tappan Zee bridge
trying to get her to launch those two sportsters.

    Didn't happen
