I'm going to agree with hedge. I had one on my 22 and when I did the blower I pulled it off. I rarely used it, and it's one less thing to deal with when I'm working in the engine bay. Makes for easier access to the oil lines and other stuff at the back of the motor.
I'll hold on to it and if it proves to be a problem I can always reinstall, but for now I like the room.
