    installing bennett m80 trim tabs on sweet 16

    has anyone installed the m80 bennett trim tabs on sweet sixteen with the upside down fins? Any problems?

    Bennett Tabs

    Just converted from Trim Master to Bennett on my '22 Classic..... great products and absolutely above and beyond customer service!!!! Call Bennett Tech Support , they are the best!!!!!

    Just don't mount them as per the Bennet instructions, they mount them flush with the hull bottom that can scrub speed. There are several good posts on mounting them for best performance.

    I think that the M80s would be a great choice for your Sweet16, but of course I am a little biased.

    As far as mounting them so that they clear the waterflow and don't scrub off any speed when reacted, the M80s mount 1/4" above the hull bottom at the transom and 5/8" above the bottom at the trailing edge.



    This allows the Trim Tab to ride above the water when fully retracted and should bot take anything off your top end.
