    Fuel Question

I am wondering if there is a need to run premium fuel in a stock 502mpi, or if I am just waisting my money by not using 87? I always have run premium in my boats, but is it worth it?

Absolutely no reason to run high test. Engine was built to run on 87. Save the dough.

I used to do the same thing. Started using regular and didn't experience any performance difference. I will however fill up with premium before I store for the winter and top off with premium the first tank or so after winter in attempt to counter act the old fuel and lost octane.

Higher octane can and will often result in lousy performance if the compression isn't high enough and you can't get it to burn off all the way.
