    Nice... Even with the sofa chairs.(nice touch)

    You may go into detail on the materials used and process.. looks great!!

    i will get some installed pics this weekend, its still in the living room for now, its lexan mirror it weights nothin, the prop decal is from donzi direct the top decal is the name i glued it to the engine cover with 5200 adhesive

    thanks george, the bildge paint is bright white for now, hopefully it doesnt turn yellow too soon, it can be repainted in the future if it does

    What's the expected life before it starts losing it's mirror surface?

    george, i used the 3M 5200 adhesive as far as how long it should last... the jury is out on that one, its lexan, and ive been told that it stands up well in direct sun lite, lots of business use it around store front windows down near the bottom edge of the store front, we will see

    a local sheet metal shop in providence ri they build catering truck bodies its super light i was originally lookin for a sheet of stainless, but the weight and fastening was the issue the lexan can be glued on,,, im not sure how well it will come off if i ever need to get it back off

    Great Custom Hatch

    I really like your custom plastic mirror hatch idea.
    The large Donzi logo decal makes it look like a factory installation.
    If you used 3M 5200 it will be almost impossible to break it's adhesive bond later.
    This is one very tough & strong adhesive/caulk .
    You would wind-up breaking off the Lexan mirror in small pieces to get it off later

    Has anyone ever tried a similar clear inset panel to show off their tricked-out engine from outside the closed engine hatch ?
