nobody ever seen a 7.4 donzi run good huh?
how about a 7.4 anything?
Chrome gorilla's 454 385 hp boat has a procharger and a shorty,,runs around 90 mph..
that sounds mighty fine but im more interested in boats running peanut port heads without power adders.
would like to hear about the forced induction as well if other are willing to tell. superchargers are cool but a 7.4 shortblock has considerable limits.
so maybe nobody has run over 60 with a 330?
im thinking 70 has been done but maybe not.
anybody making 500 horsepower?
No way to really know, but the engine builder that put together my 454 says approximately 490-500 hp. Still in the 20 hour break-in period but at 4,000 rpm it is doing 70 gps with a 25P Mirage Plus which likely will not push much past 5,000 rpm WOT.
