    Changing motor oil 454 Merc 22 C

    Can someone tell me if the thread connection at the top of the oil dip stick tube is for a hose connection to drain the oil with a small pump? I am not sure if I need tubing to feed down the dipstick tube or do i just connect to the thread connection with the pump?
    Thanks for any advise you can give me.

    Yes standard garden hose fitting and a water puppy pump.
