And a re-post of the youtube clip showing a different Warlock 25 World Class underway......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IwLxaF1mK0

As well as some Warlock test data from Hot Boat in 2001. The 377 Scorp Package, which I believe made 340hp pushed the 25 World Class to 66MPH. The 502 with 415hp could tickle 80MPH under perfect conditions I suspect?

    new interior and carpet
    new upgraded lighting in boat
Optima blue top batteries (big ones)

I didn't know that you raced against this hull smidgen too. Here's a picture of the bottom of the Warlock 25 World Class. It has a step and a pad, fast design for 25 degree's of deadrise.

I sure do remember that boat. Back then I was a APBA & Silver Cup offshore referee. That Warlock dominated the F-1 class with the Merc 525hp engine .

smidgen can answer more specifically rchevelle71 because it sounds like he was actually physically there. I'm pretty confident the picture I posted above is a Warlock 25 World Class. Here is an excerpt and another photo on the F1-44 red and white Warlock as well as a second picture of another 25 World Class race boat. These 25 hulls seemingly are 9-10MPH faster then any other 25's power for power. 78MPH with a stock 496HO is hauling the mail in a 25 degree deadrise 25 foot deep V. Below that is another excerpt about the race heritage. Interesting.

After a brief stint in amateur racing in 1988 in the Fountain, Team BRE decided to expand its offshore powerboat racing experience in 2001 with a full-time American Power Boat Association (APBA) Pro series effort. The team purchased a new 25' Warlock World Class hull from the factory rigged the boat for Factory 1 class competition. After extensive
pre-season testing at Mercury Marine's Lake "X" testing facility,Team BRE with Angelo on the Wheel and Tony on the Throttle, made their debut in St. Cloud, Fl with a podium finish. The remainder of the 2001 season was a learning year for the team, as they campaigned the entire pro circuit, earning 4th place in the final championship standings.

    NEWS: Press Release

    Buffomante Racing Enterprises FI-44
American Power Boat Association (APBA) Offshore Racing

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 10, 2002

Team B.R.E. recorded its first win in the prestigious Great Lakes Silver Cup Series with a flag victory at the Eastlake Grand Prix held on Lake Erie, July 7, 2002.

This win coupled with the teams third place finish at the June 23, 2002 St. Claire River Classic enabled Team B.R.E. to take over the points lead in the highly competitive Factory One class.

Team driver Angelo Buffomante said, "The Eastlake water was perfect conditions for our boat with one to two foot chop and light winds. Tony did a great job working the throttles which allowed us to have a maximum speed of over 83 miles an hour. Team B.R.E.s 25’ WARLOCK averaged 76.1 m.p.h. for the 60 mile event. We hope to continue with this momentum at the next race to be held at Fairport, Ohio on July 21, 2002."

The five race Great Lake Silver Cup Series ends with races at St. Claire, Michigan on August 4, 2002 and the championship race at Grand Haven, Michigan on September 1, 2002.

Tony Buffomante, owner and throttleman, stated "This victory would not have been possible without the support received from Mercury Racing, Victory Offshore, AuditQuest.com, Warlock Power Boats and Hydromotive Props. Our Intimidator Quad IV prop delivered great performance in both the smooth and choppy water conditions. A third place finish at the last race was a thrill, but leading flag to flag at this event with such tough competition from the other boats in our class made the race very exciting. We also want to thank our family and friends who have contributed to the cause."

Further information on TEAM B.R.E.’s activities can be seen on the Great Lakes Silver Cup website, SilverCup.com and on the APBA-Offshore.com site.

Warlock builds phenomenal rough water V-Bottom Boats, along with there well know Cats. Where many other boats sacrifice speed to gain rough water handling the Warlocks maintain impressive top end speeds in the flat as well as the rough. The Factory 1 boats are built utilizing the same techniques, molds, and materials as the pleasure versions, but there are a few differences in the race hulls that allow them to take the extreme race conditions. As mentioned before these differences are performed by most if not all the manufactures that produce Factory Class race boats.
Teams have successfully campaigned the 25, 27, and 29 World Class(WC) models in Factory 1, E-Class, and Performance Class racing winning numerous championships over the years. Currently the APBA Silver Cup Series is led by F1-44 Team BRE with a 25 WC. Many great teams have chosen to race Warlocks for their exceptional handling and performance.

There were a few Warlocks racing F1, but I thought F1-44 was around 25'. Screaming Eagle was a 29' F1 Warlock.

Located in Farmington, NM it looks like the price on the 2001 Warlock 25 World Class above with the 502MPI just dropped from $25k to $23k. These 25's added a slightly different delta pad design to the bottom. The 29 first came out in 1996 after Carter Reed bought Team Warlock and created Ultimate Warlock in December 1995, then the 27 followed that in 1998, and the slightly reworked hull bottom of the 25 WC wasn't introduced until late 2000. At the same time Reed changed the name to just Warlock Powerboats dropping the Ultimate part.

    Started asking $28k.......$25k..........now $23k.......
