I don't believe that this is the old converted minesweeper The Wild Goose that John Wayne owned which I mentioned earlier on this forum ~~~

The Wild Goose still exists and is more impressive than this above yacht!

    Do a google web search~

Its not the Wildgoose, but still very nice. The listing says "John Wayne's First yacht" and he still owned the Goose when he died, so maybe he owned this one previously. I saw the Wildgoose in Newport Beach in front of his home years ago, I think she's still in Newport.

    The Wild Goose

The boat in the link is John Wayne's first boat the Norwester. He owned it for a few years and upgraded to the Wild Goose. He owned the Goose for the last 17 years of his life. The Wild Goose is still alive and well and works as a charter boat in Newport Beach under Hornblower Cruises & Events. The yacht also has a facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/thewildgoose
    Hope this answers your questions...

Wow, very nice. I almost bought that boat around 1979? It was owned by a bank and sitting in Houston. When I saw it, it was not nearly as nice. Very utilitarian, some leaks, planks coming undone, but still floating. Price was $7,500! but needed a lot of work then.
