So I'm in the process of doing a lot of work to the boat, 1976 2+3 with a TRS. I'm building a nice stroker motor for it, rebuilding the trans, new halon system, deadman switch AND full hydraulic steering. I picked up a dual ram kit from Paul Everett and it's really a pretty nice kit. We started getting ready to install the steering and ran in to this:
Turns out the water intake is located DIRECTLY where the bracket for starboard ram is supposed to go. Oh joy. To make matters a little more difficult, Donzi glassed over the hardware inside the engine compartment, lol. Not that big of a deal since I've passed the point of no return but my question is, what would be the ideal scoop and location? Any thoughts?
