Hard to see $12K in this boat. Also hard to see 70 mph.

Looks all there from what the pictures show, so with a lot of TLC it could be brought back.

Not a 69 with that steering wheel, floor vent, windshield and the Donzi Marine script it could have been built around the same time Jay’s boat was built? Agree don’t see 12K or 70MPH.

    Agree w/ Bob.

Period details look very similar to my boat - especially the wheel.
Not exactly sure when the second set of clamshell vents became standard but these may have been added later (they are facing the wrong way).

70? I think it could be good for 80......kilometers/hr!

The professionally restored '67 V-drive on FleaBay is a steal.......

Bobby, I don't know what the time range was for that windshield. A couple of years ago I listed a 1974 Ski-Sporter owned by a friend of mine in Vermont. He was the second owner, and bought the boat around 1980, and the boat had that same windshield.

In the picture of the Ski-Sporter you had, I think I saw at had the same brass plaque on the dash, saying "This DONZI was custom built for XXXXX" Paul's boat had one of those too, if that is what I saw. Not too sure after mistaking the Holman-Moody sticker for a Thunderbird emblem on someone else's dash.

Bill - I think that windshield was used into the mid '70s. It is kind of ugly IMO, but functional.
AND there is the cool '60s LBJ Glastron footage w/ the Secret Service in windshield Ski Sporters

I've seen the wheel on a 14 a 16 a n 18 and a 7 meter all of them were 1967 model years. the windshield was used thru-out the early years til the mid to late 70's same basic windshield the hornet had. The wheel was a teleflex touch the big steering component corp. they appeared in 67 and disappeared when the Chisholm's took over full ownership in 1968. about the same time the metal scripts went away. The prop logo was used from the get-go until full Chisholm ownership. They developed the lion and dolphin and abandoned the prop logo.

if it is a 67 there is a good chance the deck is solid glass and pvc pipe supports with no wood coring to rot.

the 3 gauges have me wondering fuel maybe one oil temp maybe 2 what's 3???? wonder what's under the hood so to speak?

    Bill,
When I bought the ski sporter from the old timer in Jersey the original especially built for plate was gone so I had one made to fit the holes in the dash.

It sounds like may be enough pieces of the puzzle to indicate that the boat may in fact be a 1969 model year. Is the only way to confirm that require a look under the deck to see how/if it is reinforced with pvc pipe supports?
