    If you are going through that much trouble, you may as well turn it up a couple of notches from that.

    I agree, go more. Not a big hp increase from what you have now to an HP500.

    For 11K you can build a lot better engine and know exactly what you have!

    I was thinking the same thing. Still, that blue motor would look good in my donzi. I think he is asking way too much money for a 300 hour engine without exhaust.

    I will be selling a fresh (newly rebuilt) 632CID/800HP with all the good parts inside along with CMI headers and tailpipes for not much more than the 300 hour 500. Just saying - there are some deals out there. Bill

    I think that a big advantage to a Merc Racing engine is that you DO know exactly what you have and so does every decent marine mechanic. That said though I agree that the 27 would be a lot more fun with, say, a 700SCi...
