1974 Magnum 27 Sport
1970 Donzi 18 2+3
It would have looked better with a full raised hatch like the ones that Sparky makes. The sun pad is really useless.
The flame arrestor or the exhuast mainfolds don't even look that high in the photos. maybe the hatch cover was made for a different Sport or engine combination?
Clean looking Sport every where else.
Thank you
Jim
That 27 starfire on magmarine.com is sick!
It looks like those upside-down fiberglass fish-boxes used as center engine covers were added to cover some big supercharger blowers at one time in the boat's past life !
You wouldn't want to bet me that they are not fiberglass fish-boxes~~~right out of a marine catalog would you ?
Someone went to a lot of trouble to make that aft sun-pad area look very strange indeed !
They also had that special red sun-pad cushon custom taylored around those upside-down "fish-boxes" !

At least you couldn't roll off if you were in the middle !!! "HIGH LIFE"
Hey Guys ,You seem to forget that this boat was built in 70's and you could get 4 Square Groupers in the hatch and drive by customs with a big grin on your face.
I think they wanted this Mag to have a hatch that looked like my old race hatch, it's not a very good copy.
