WHAT ARE THESE n my Z33 Crossbow???

    Hi guys

I recently boat my '89 Z33, it was listed on here for sale. I was having a look the other day and notice these 2 cables off the transom that had been cut. Any idea what these are, and if I need them, where would I get replacement ones? If you zoom in on the picture you will see them.

    Cheers

All the ones I have seen are 33C cables that a few companies manufacture. If you are lucky, you will see the length printed on the cables up front near where they attach to the indicator. You will have to get them out anyway so you can read them then. However, I do not see the mounts on the outdrives which you will also need. The cables are usually only about 3' different in lengths (in your case it might only be 1'). Bill

If you still have the indicators inside then all you should need are cables & drive actuators. I can get them for you if you want to fix her up... Jamie / Lakeside

Yes, there are 2 slides for the 2 drives & 2 slides for the 2 tabs.. If you can get the #'s stamped into the 2 cables for the drives that will help me.. J

You might want to see if the trim tab indicator works before getting the drive indicator parts since you might also need those cables. You could get all the necessary parts at one time. Try moving each trim tab down and see if the indicator on the dash moves. Many times all 4 cables are bundled together back to the transom so it would be much easier to replace them all at one time. I had to do this on my old 1978 36' Cigarette. Bill

I should add that a friend of mine bought a Z33 Crossbow last year and his indicators do not work either. His boat has the same indicator on the dash. Bill
