    New Merc 600 EFI motor

    Curious will a 600EFI Merc motor fit under the hatch of a 22 classic.....

    Make it fit.

    If a Whippled 500EFI will fit, I bet a 600 will also fit.

    Thanks Rick, well...saw an ad on OSO for two brand new 2010 MERC 600EFI's for 35,0000 this afternoon.....SO my brain went nuts thinking wow that is 17,500 each just need someone to split them with me or by both sell one whatever 17,500 for a new 600EFI ...well got tied up for awhile this afternoon and early evening went back to the ad to write down phone number info etc., ......well ad was changed to 35,000 EACH....Crap...thought a 600EFI was going in the 22

    Back to dreamin now....

    mr x put a 600sc in to a 22 a few years back, i think he boat broke the 100 mph mark..

    Yes it would have fit, but from what I remember on yours a hatch mod would have been needed.. J

    True, that is a good alternative. I did like mine & every client I have done one for as well has really liked them.. The one on the 496 does work well & definitely adds more pep. Jamie / Lakeside

    MR. X also installed an Ilmor 710hp on his 22........so a 600efi should definitely fit imo.....

    there's some pics of his engine compartment on the "show your engine thread" on the registry.....check it out

    Mr X also shoehorned a 600SCI in one before that..

    Big difference between the current gen 600SCi and the old 600SC, which is what Ted did. Major, just saying. SCi should be easier, because it is not as tall...

    Yep, One had carbs and is a good bit taller.
