Sandless in Sacramento
I have no idea why, but fairly often it looks like the site is down. I try to log on but just get 'ie cannot display page'. Other sites are no problem, so I just assumed the server was down.
Today however at the same time I was unable to access d.net I got an email from the site about a thread update. This made me curious, so I logged on with my phone and found the site is up, but my computer can't find it.
Any thoughts?

This happens to me daily. There was a thread about it a while back... I think it is IP address-specific.

hmmm...looks you might be onto something. I stole the girlfriend's ipad and did some checking and found a thread discussing the problem. Nobody had a specific answer, but I'm using the suggested proxy - hidemyass.com - and it's working on my regular machine again.
Weird. And annoying.
