    those GT1000's are great bikes, and that's a great price on a great bike

    fwiw, I've stayed away from Ducks because of the maintenance...more specifically the valve adjustment.

    ah, but they've lengthened the service intervals quite a bit in recent years. I think valve adjustments are something like 12K now. And on a bike like this where you don't have to strip all the body work it would actually be reasonable to have it done, or do it yourself.

    I heard they lengthened them from 6k to 75oo, with no change in materials.
    I've never adjusted them, but understand its difficult because they are set at zero.
