Pm or email Donzigo. He had a trailer made a couple of years ago for his. So, he should know the weight.

I think it is more like 8500 pounds. Plus trailer, etc.

The 28 ZX is rated in the 6500 area and it is a lot smaller... The BBC engines alone have to add a few hundred pounds and the boat is simply huge relative to the 28.

I'd think a 3/4 ton would be fine for towing, of course depending on the exact model. I think they are usually rated to tow at least 12k pounds though which is plenty.

Not sure on the boat weight, but I'd think a diesel 3/4 from any of the big three should be up to the task. Pretty sure all of them are north of 10,000 lbs rated.

Any 3/4 is good for 12,000. You would be fine. While diesels are known to be towing beasts, don't underestimate some of the gas stuff either. Both Chevy and Ford have come out with some damn good gas engines, like Fords 6.2L and Chevy's 6.0L, in the last couple of years that might surprise you.

Of course at 7000ft, go turbo diesel or go home......

Just my .02, which in this economy, is only worth .01, and actually is less than that since my original .02 isn't really worth .02.

Ditto, just piling on. My Chevy 3/4 ton 6.0 gas is rated right around 12,000 I think.

You will be fine with a 3/4, I towed my friends 30' cabin cruiser (Heavier Yet) on his triple axle trailer with my 5.3 sub it handled it just fine the 6.0 should eat it up. Phil

The brochure says 8100 lbs, but remember that is a dry weight with nothing inside. Remember the 204 Gal fuel tank, add another 1285ish lbs, now your up to 9385 lbs. now from there you add in all of the ice, extra cooler, beer, blankets, sheets, pillows, safety gear, water in the holding tank and lav, gps, radio, cd's, tools, Snacks, cushions, Covers, batteries, condoms, did I leave anything out? I figure from 10,000 to 10,500 lbs depending on fuel load. Remember also, this is with out people, and if they are boating with you, they are probably going to ride to the lake with you. If you like them big add a few extra pounds. Now add in the triple axle aluminum trailer, I'm just guessing at around 4,000 lbs. Total around 14,000 to 14,500 Lbs. Without passengers.

In the spring I plan to see exactly what it really weighs.

3/4 ton truck? I would say you would be ok. JMO though.

Gero usually totes around a couple of hundred pounds of shine, several hundred pounds of mazola and some poly sheeting as well. The squeegee does not not weigh very much
