1986 Minx. Real clean condition freshwater boat red an tan color.I don't hav any pics of her. The seller is askin 12,000 It will need a new trailor
I wouldn't entertain buying it for that price w/o a survey.
That's a pretty strong price, particularly w/o a trailer.
A new aluminum trailer is about $4K, so if you're really interested, get the survey and maybe offer the seller his asking price minus the cost of a good trailer.
There were about 170 of them built in a little over 3 years. Many haven't been cared for all that well.
I restored one about 5 years ago and got a good price for it.
Here's a link to the restore thread;

And here's a link to the page where I offered it for sale;

I used to own a red and tan '86 Minx; sold it to someone from the New England area a few years ago. Mine had a pretty decent Load Rite trailer; I wonder if the boat you are considering is my old boat.
I was contacted by the current owner and he has owned the boat for years. He also informed me the trailer is fine.
I do know something about this boat, although I've not seen it.
I would say, depending on a good survey, the boat is worth the asking price.
