We don't even get to see it run . I'll believe 170 mph when I see the gps run.

OK, now that I think about it, it looks like the video was shot by someone on the dock who doesn't have a clue.
Mr. X, it says 170 mph on the video caption. Isn't that like close to the world v-bottom record?

OK, they are clearly 700 SCIs. Probably runs a little over 100 as Ted said. Still a great looking boat indeed though.

My thoughts exactly!!!! Most people would just look at the speedo and assume it would bury the needle. My nephew can tell how fast a motorcycle or car can go simply by reading the highest # on the speedo. If that were actually the case, my 1971 (all stock) MGB would do 140!!!!!

The speedo screws that number up, its calibrated for MPH and I haven't ever seen anything over 75. It has a 4 speed with 390 gears (I think) and it sounds horrible doing anything above 65! The factory says it will do 100.00000000000000000000000001 MPH

I don't drive it above 60 usually, that's where it is comfy.

    I had a '71 Midget that would break 100 - like 105 or 110? Its been a while. Later I had a '78 (?) MGB that only ran low 90s
