    Mufflers

Question. What´s the best pair of mufflers i could use on my 22 classic over 600hp without loosing to many hp. Want it as quiet as possible. Concern of the neighbours in the bay. Using lightning headers today.Anyone experienced with mufflers. Cyclone?? running 4" straight now.

AquaPower(formerly HPI) and GGB both make excellent mufflers with limited loss. I saw zero loss running HPI 9049-PR mufflers on twin 496HO's. I believe these are rated to 700HP. If you're only worried about no-wake zones, go with a set of turn-downs. Gibson makes nice ones or GGB will custom make to your specs.

That last pic looks familiar! The Gibson Bullets work very well but I like to let the engine roar so are are usually left home . Don't use the slip in ones in the article. They are too restrictive for a big block.

Thank´s very much for all the info about the mufflers . I will use the ones with the best noise reduction even if i have to make the holes in the transom 4,5 "

The turn downs are really cool and still quieter when running as the exhaust points down..plus they sound great burping through the water at idle...Ed
