ANyone on hear have the 98 donzi 22zx with the 7.4l efi throttle body injection. I am looking for input on rpm's. With 5 people full of fuel on gauge hitting 4000 rpms turning 24p prop. 2 people moderate fuel hit 4500. i can free rev the engine to 5200 no problem. I am looking for ideal prop size and also ideal max rpm's. where should i turn this engine.

Max rpm is supposed to be 4600 rpm,sounds like your prop may be too small or has lost it's cup.Worst case scenario is your engine has lost compression.Hope this helps.

That engine is 315 HP on a good day.. Now the numbersyou state are righton so For a load I would use a 23 ppitch.
