25 mirage plus verses a 23

The boat ran 4500 rpms yesterday and showed 65mph with 25 mirage pluses this is twin mpi 300 s in a 28 zx I ordered 2 new 23 mirage pluses for it Does this seem correct guys and will the boat run better with 23s . I dont know why it has such big props

The 23s should get you up closer to 5000 rpms, maybe 4900, where it should be.

I agree the 23s should give you about 400 rpm.

Thanks guys I just dont see why they pulled the 23s for the 25s , would it be for better fuel mileage at cruise speed ?
