Oh sweet! That looks sexy! I see you have a taller flame arrestor on yours. I can't fit a taller one on mine due to the cover clearance but now I'm wondering if mine may be too restrictive. Probably not, but just a thought.

Either way, very nice! I'm looking forward to the video!

Not realistic top engine speeds in a Donzi.

    Still a very cool engine.
I guess the near 350 hours I got on my motor (and drive) before I rebuilt it was just luck because I would run it contantly at 5,800 rpm. Then again, I have one of those old, heavy, junky TRS drives.

I know I already posted pics of the motor, but I finally have a little video of our boat at idle to hear the little 289 (link below). I don't know why, but it just makes me feel good to hear it run, so I keep replaying the video clip. My wife was getting some stuff out of the car up in the trailer parking area when I started it up and she said she thought it was a big race boat and then saw me and said out loud "oh...that is OUR boat" LOL

1966 Ford 289 HIPO with heads done by Mondello and an Isky cam (engine originally balanced and blueprinted by Dave Z in southern California). Scotty at Cabo Marine has brought it back to running great.

(I know the fender is still out...we are heading to put it on the trailer)
