    Cool Runnin

I would like to thank everyone on the forum for your good advice. I recently installed a Hardin SS raw water pump, the engine was still running hot and it took a lot of rpms to prime it.
Hardin suggested changing the impeller even though it was new. This helped a bit. I then thought about removing the thermostat and went to this forum for advice. In the end I removed the innards of the old thermostat and used it as a restrictor plate. This works well here in the Bahamas where water temp is 80 deg. year round. Now running between 140-160f

Did you get one of the $160 pumps from CP? If so you are lucky. They don't have them anymore!
