    Raw water pump question

I got a Volvo raw water pump which is installed like the bravo raw water pump which means rotation is clockwise when you look at the first pic.
In my opinion the large port is intake and the smaller port goes to the circulation pump (sometimes oilcooler between the pumps).
Does anybody know this pump and agrees with me or am I wrong?
    Thanks for your help,
    Axel

Axel, generally those pumps are bi-directional and the ports interchangable.
If it's plumbed w/a large/small port arrangement, the large would be the intake.

Large would be intake because the water is not under pressure, the small one is under pressure.
