How can I fix this transom leak?

I have water coming in from in between my outside transom and the drive itself? Anyone know what could be causing the drive not to sit flush against the transom? Will 4200 be ok to seal the gap until I can pull the whole assembly apart?

i see stress cracks in that area,,probably rotted transom, i wouls just use life seal th get you through the summer..plan on pulling the motor over the winter and replacing the transom..
