    Lost RPM's

I've got a '95 18 Classic with 350 mag, alpha drive and thru prop exhaust. The engine is rated to run b/w 4400-4800 @ WOT, however I'm maxing out at 4000. It used to run around 4400. Any ideas on possible causes for lost RPM's and what are other people running w/ similar set-ups? All comments are welcome. Thanks.

I had the same thing on my fuel injected engine. And then it developed a bad mis-fire.

Filled the fuel filter canister half full of fuel injector cleaner, put 1-1/2 bottles of cleaner in the tank, and ran for about a half hour on the hose in my drive. When I water tested it, the mis-fire was gone and my lost RPMs were regained.

I had the same issue a month ago and a fresh set of plugs cured the problem.
