    might be a dumb question...

...for the Bravo drive trim and power steering, can I use standard atf or even engine oil or does it have to be at least special mercruiser/quicksilver/sierra stuff? What do you suggest?
    Thx, Axel

The trim can be 30w motor oil, the steering (if power steering) needs to be some type of power steering fluid so it doesn't foam up.

I have recently been maintaining a newer Cig and the only Red Oil is in the steering resevior, all the trim pumps (tabs and drives) have motor oil in them.

The thicker oil works the pump much harder and will shorten its life span.
