Aaron from Merc they said to check it hot to the fill line on the dipstick type A, but thats hard to find so for the last 20 years I have used Dexron III with a little Lucas trans additive. I had the Trs trans in my 27' Magnums , 38' KV Scarab & my 29' Mirage with no problems..Originally Posted by superhatz

Thanks!....Here is the whole story from the Merc manual. WITH THE BW trans I would use type F & fill as needed. h2o
