I'm with you Ghost. I asked three times and finally got the price! I promptly fell down. When I got up I realized that Nick Carraway was right........ "the rich are different then you and me" !

    Hey Greg,

To give you an update, since we came up with the finished dimensions and such, I have had quite a few events that have swamped me and my spare time. Work has given me some time-consuming projects, got some automobile issues, compounded by my wife's totalling of her car last night. (She is fine.) Boat has given me issues, also.

Something had to give. Anyways, I should be getting back to the senders soon. I probably should have asked what kind of time frame we are looking at. Could you tell me your rough schedule?

Wow, you have your hands full Tidbart. Glad no one was hurt. August 1st is the timeline, let me know if you think that works.

A few post ago there was some discussion around fender clip options. The price from Italian vendor Seasmart is $133 each (includes VAT) for the 1" head quick release model in pic 1 below. Next in line is $95 for the high end 1.5" US model from Cobalt in pics 2, 3, and 4 below. Least expensive is Livorsi's model at $29. The Cobalt clip is VERY well made and substantial. This is why I think I can use them to create a quick disconnect for the removable windscreens I'd like to do. I thought that the Seasmart clips might be even more pricey. Maybe Jaimie wants to be the US distributor for the line.

A 3/4" windscreen frame will not be quite enough. Certainly 1" or maybe more to match off to the quick releases.

Take one of them to a machine shop and have what you want made.
You're not selling them, so there's no issue there.

It's not as easy as grabbing any machine shop unfortunately. Actually, now that I think of it maybe once I figure out the windscreens, I will sell them..............to Hornet Marine.

I thought that Lakeside was going to hook me up with a set of hatch latches from the Shelby series. Unfortunately, Jamie checked and they are not a compression latch. I want compression to avoid annoying rattles. All the latches out there are kind of the same, so I may go a different direction with these.

    Greg,

Re-read the last email I sent you last week. I am still looking into the compression ones for you, I just need to confirm a few things with my rep @ the latch manufacturer the beginning of this week..

I never said I cant get a compression latch that looked somewhat like that. I just said they were a little different looking & I had to double check the specs, which I would do and get back to you the beginning of the week.

If for some reason they no longer interest you, please let me know so I don't waste any time.. I have quite a bit going on..

    Thanks.. J
