Chip, I asked him the same question a couple years ago. It's the nicest protector I've seen. I believe he found it at a swap meet or someplace like that. I looked for a long time and eventually found a similar product, but didn't buy it at the time, and I never saved the link.
Seeing it again, makes me want one again. If you end up looking and find one, let me know where.

I bought one of those and decided not to put it on the boat. They're kind of ugly.

Thanks Chip. I saw those also, but have to agree with Carl.
The one Greg has, has a bit of style to it.

I agree. I think that I'll probably make one before I buy something like that. It looks pretty thin as well at 22 g stainless. I found some other close up pictures of these installed and it would be an insult to a Classic to put one on.

    That would be old school!

Sure! I'm trying to picture it on a Donzi Classic but I can't quite make it work.

    Pad specs and couple questions

    Hi Greg,

Thank you for your thread and all the great information it had.

I wanted to ask you if you can give us the latest specs of the final pad design :

    - Width at transom
    - Notch at transom : yes/no
    - Pad Total Length
    - Pad deadrise angle after the flat area
    - Pad width at the end (bow side) if not 0
    - any rocker added to the pad ?
    - pad is blueprinted sharp ?

And lastly , i have some questions about your lift strakes, when looking at your pics (http://www.donzi.net/forums/attachme...4&d=1421530974) for the two lift strakes that get to the transom , it seems that the lift strakes height transom side is not as high as in the middle of the hull or your bottom hull transom side has some slight rocker from transom to bow that make the lift strakes height seems smaller. is this true ? or just light and shadow effects ? if true , is it your mod or original donzi hull shape ?

PS: Did you get "surface tension" on the water yet ?

    Thank you .

    Warm thanks from Tahiti.

Notice in the second photo, under the rubrail it says Drakes Creek Marine. Can anyone offer any type of background on who might have owned the hull when it was kept at Drakes?
