    New Mustang V-6 achieves 300/30 milestone

    Ford officials say their 2011 Mustang powered by the all-new 3.7 liter V-6 has achieved something no other vehicle has ever before done - compiling an official 31 mpg highway rating from the EPA with a powerplant producing at least 300 horsepower.

    it would have been really cool if it was an eco boost turbo model. I could see a turbo swap and a pony Grand National born. all well.

    300 horse v6 has to perform pretty well. looks like it has 280 on the torque side so it's not all RPM smoke and mirrors.
