    How do I..........

Get rid of this irritating pop up. I've tried everything I know of. It comes up when you navigate between pages.

The worse part is I'm taking some college courses online, and this page keeps popping up.

You computer is infected! Buy some penicillin for computers asap.

Seriously, you have malware problem. Malware is a general term for virus, addware, spyware, etc.

Lots of computer pros on here will guide you through getting a clean computer again. Stay off the porn sites is good advice but like an STD, sounds like it's too late.

I use the following FREE programs
    AVG or Avast for antivirus
    SE Ad Aware for addware/spyware.

Malwarebytes is another good one as others have already said.

As already said... use Avast! it is free for home use.

2nd, use FireFox. it will give you far fewer problems than Internet explorer.

3rd, run a no adware program frequently...

Adware Away even the free version removes most crap.

Beware that some of malware delete programs are actually malware.
So if a box pops up and says something like "123 worm has been detected. Download
    Slickster to remove ($48)".
You have been infected and the remover program will infect you even worse.

Press ctrl and then click at the same time. ctrl + click should allow blockup. alt + click will bring up a new window.

    Lightbulb

Free from Microsft, I have been running it since Jan 3 very good results.
http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/ It pretty much does it all, the two below are old favorites as added insurance.

    Another good freebie!

    Another good one also free!

The first one I only have for a short time the other two have been on all four computers for a couple of years, both are highly recommended on many tech blogs.
