    Round Britain 2008.

Since I bought boat number 5, a Swedish 1988 Flying Flipper 29' (my Avatar), that took part in the RB08 I keep an eye out for photos and videos from this event. However my future boat retired after leg 3 due to a 'heated evening' among the team's crew members in a pub!

The initial videos I posted are now off the web, but here's a couple of new ones.

This first one is a great documentary covering the Round Britain 2008 race.

A second video showing a short helicopter take of the start.

    Mike Lloyd, The Race Director!

Mike Lloyd had for many many years been a driving force in offshore racing in Great Britain. However, the way he pulled off The 2008 Round Britain, as it's initiator and celebrated Race Director will never be forgotten. There were a few documentaries made about the race and one called David's Diary has been available online on and off. Mike uploaded it on YouTube the other day and it's a nice little film. Happy Holidays.
