Just my .02, which in this economy, is only worth .01, and actually is less than that since my original .02 isn't really worth .02.
HIN doesn't make sense.... that's a state issued number
rear deck hatch is unique... where's the corner compartments?
not sure how new the engine is with the Ficht dekkels?
Tag Team it! Here's the photos.

I don't think it is a Donzi. I think it is a splash. Never seen a Donzi sticker on the hull that looked like that. Gauges are different than any I have ever seen. Probably more I am not seeing.

-----Even if this 16 is a 74 and not a 64, why would DONZI change the seating from right to left for one boat??? All the 16 outboards I have ever seen are right side, and I owned two. !!! Buiz is correct as usual. This is probably a stolen and recovered 16 that was converted to its present configuration. Pictures arent good but the work looks to have been done somewhat nicely..........Bill S
well it is not a baby 16 could be an early skisporter converted to an OB
left hand helm
they did use that dash plate in the early boats and the added ones are probably cause of the eggbeater trim and a gas gauge volt meter instead of an ammeter
-----Matty,,,Great minds think alike. .......Bill S
if that is the case the cut in seems to be done with some skill and attention to detail
yes Bill they do
Gotta be a ski sporter converted. I don't have a picture of it, but the 16 o/b that Tom and his brother have has a completely different rear end. The tub (or whatever you want to call it) for the motor is much larger, and the hatches to the bildge are on the sides, not in front of the motor. Nice boat, though. I like the big Evinrude!

"Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." -Benjamin Franklin
yes it just looks off a bit
reminds me of an old chinese fable
a young apprentice is trying to learn about jade and jewels
he goes to see the old master who says yes i will teach you about jade.
he hands him a piece of jade and says hold on to it and starts to talk about everything else under the sun , life, love, education, philosophy, nature.
this repeats every day, week , month finally one morning the apprentice before they start says please no more I have been here months and have learned about life ,love and everything else but jade!!! with that the master throws him a piece of smooth green stone, and the apprentice says master this is not jade
sometimes we learn about things by just being exposed to them long enough
left hand helm right hand motor wonder how that works out ???
i have a 72 it looks nothing like that my motor well is 3x that size ande the compartments are on the side if that helps
