Also my Acron pop cleats, Dana marine throttle, and Livorsi gauges.

You can also see the Hardin marine oil filter adaptor block with AN-12 fittings and dana marine oil filter mount.

Looks awesome Zimm, that Dana shifter is classy and the gauges look sweet as well.

    Hey Zimm17,

I'm looking at the Dana Shifter for my 18c. My Merc shifter is 20years old and I hate the feel of it. I should probably replace the cables as well. Did you change your cables? If so, what brand, what source? The red Dana would look great in my 18.

Yes I changed cables too. Measure your old ones then hit west marine- they sell the standard type 33c cables in any length you need. I think I had a 14 and a 16 footer, but I could be wrong. They're about $40 each- then you need the merc cable ends which they sell in a bag there too.

Pics of the transom will show up when I get get my memory card reader unscrewed.

Thanks for the info, I'd assume that is was a noticable improvement over the old shifter. By the way, nice job on the motor, I'm thinking that a blown BB would look nice in my 18 too, fit real nice under the scoop.

Thanks! Now that the overheating issue is sorted out (plugged oil cooler) it's awesome. Drives just like normal until it gets past 3500rpm, then the blower whistle hits and it freaking puts you back in the seat- hard. The bling-bling in the engine compartment is cool too. Idles like a stock motor. I've always wanted a blown EFI big block, and now my dream has come true. It's not paid off yet (dang credit cards) but at least I have it. I highly recommend, but I'm living on borrowed time with the rebuilt stock 454 block- when it goes it gets a high dollar 502 long block. Also you need external steering before attempting 600+HP
