    Thanksgiving by Donzi

My family is mostly gone and Elaine's family is all in Nevada this year, so we did Thanksgiving by ourselves. We heard Harborside Restaurant was having a big doo so we decided to go.
Thursday morning was bright and beautiful and it eventually got to 70*.
We launched at the Leesburg public ramp at the marina and away we went.
We are about 12" to 14" behind on rain this year (no hurricanes you know). The Harris Chain of Lakes is down about 2'. Mainly a problem at ramps and Dora Canal.
Lunch was great, all the usual turkey and trimmings.
The dock at the restaurant is very shallow now and even though I have a transom pick up, after a couple of minutes in a no wake zone, the engine hit 190*. I shut it down and pulled the basket out of the sea strainer, it was completely filled with silt from the dock. Thank God for strainers!! When I restarted, the temp immediately dropped to 155*. We had a nice run back to the ramp.

Yep, that's what the sign says, but I never see any activity there.
