    Can bookmarks be transferred?

Is there a way to transfer my bookmarks from one internet provider to another? I am getting ready to move into the 21st. century and get rid of my AOL dial-up and move to a different high speed provider. I have over 100 bookmarks and dread having to write them all down and type them in.
    Thanks - Dave

If you use the AOL program exclusively right now, I wouldn't be able to help, as I've never used it myself. If you fire up AOL, then use microft's internet explorer, then you'll still have all of your bookmarks once you move to a different provider. Hopefully, someone who is more familiar with AOL can help out.....

Update: Nothing like a little internet searching. I found this page: http://www.aoleave.com/ looks like you can convert your favorite places ( http://www.aoleave.com/favorites.html ), address book and more. Or try the link provided in this article http://www.komando.com/tips/index.aspx?id=1871 . Good luck....

I don't know about AOL specifically, but if you can transfer them to Outlook you may be able to find them and make a copy very easily. Mine are located at: C:\Documents and Settings\Jimmy\Favorites

Substitute your user name for Jimmy and that's where I'd look on your computer. Microsoft even puts a star beside the file name where there's usually a file icon so it's easy to see. If it's not there you could also do a file search from the start menu. Good luck!
