    Thumbs up Firefox Extensions.

I know a more and more people are using Firefox. One thing I really like about it is the ability to install extensions. If you don't know what they are, they are kind of like plug-ins for Firefox that give it added features. There's tons of them out there, so you can customize your browser to fit your needs. To access them goto Tools > Extensions. There is a link to find extensions there as well. Or just go: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/extensions/

Here are some of my favs:

By far the best is ForecastFox, especially for a boater. Allows you to put weather stuff on the tool bar. hovering on the icons there gives u a little more info, click launches an accuweather.com page with the full info. See my attachment to see what it looks like. Get it here: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1978/

All in one gestures: This one allows you to use mouse gestures to navigate. For instance, R Click + move left = BACK. Super useful. Opera has this feature built in. When I found this extension, I shutdown Opera for good. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/12/

Foxytunes: allows you to control a music program with a tool bar at the bottom of your browser. Its in the middle of my bottom tool bar. I use iTunes and an apple airport to wirelessly play music stored on my computer through my full sized stereo. No need to keep switching windows with this plug in. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/219/

Bugmenot. Bugmenot.com is a website that stores usernames and passwords for tons of sites, so if you want to read one article in the LA Times, you dont have to sign up, and give out your email address and other personal info. They don't post pay sites, only free ones....keeps it legit. Anyway, they have an extension that allows you to R click on a username field, and select Log in using BugMeNot. This way you dont have to go to the site, and cut\paste. http://roachfiend.com/archives/2005/02/07/bugmenot/ This one isn't on Mozillas site, so you may have to list Roachfiend.com to sites which you allow to install extensions.

IE Tab. As good as firefox is, some sites will only run in IE. My wireless router \switch and my webcam are a couple of examples. With this extension, you can have IE on one (or any #) of your Firefox tabs. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/

Finally, Cooliris Preview. This works with Google and Ebay. Probably others too, but that's where I tend to find it working. On a google results page, for example, if you pause your pointer over one of the results links, it will show a preview pane so you can decide if that page suits your needs. No more click-back-click-back-click.....you get it.

Anyone else find any good ones? take a look at the offerings, they have something for everyone.
