    1994 Donzi Medallion 152

Does anyone know if the 200 HP OptiMax Sport Jet would fit the 1994 Donzi Medallion 152 with minimal conversions? Thanks

Do you have the 90 hp Sport Jet, or the 120 hp. Definitely not "minimal conversions."

I replaced a 90 hp Sport Jet with a Sport Jet 175. The 175 was around 3.75" taller than the 90, which was a Chrysler/Force 3-cylinder outboard powerhead.

You will have to replace the pump assembly as well, as they are completely different.

And you will have to replace the helm. The 90 hp (I don't know about the 120) was a quarter turn from lock to lock. That would take Herculean effort to turn with the thrust from a V6. I installed a 270 degree (If I remember correctly) helm and it was great. Also the shift cable is completely different on the V6 pump.

It turned my 14' Reflexx from a marginal performer that would barely plane with 3 people and had a top speed of 38 GPS, to a rocket ship that planed off effortlessly with 1100+ lbs of people on board, and ran 50 GPS mph. Because of the larger pump diameter, the boat also turned about 100% better, and I tracked 7 mph in reverse before I had to shut it down.

It was very expensive to do, but very much worth it.
