It the complete pkg still avail?
We're in the process of working out a deal. Although I still own it/have it, I suppose you could say it's XMETAL's boat.
What are the possibilites? Don was having this boat modified w/ lighter, state of the art materials and it's a one of a kind 'diamond in the rough'? Can I retire early???
So I guess this means I need to change my username to "72"donzibob :banghead:
Half of what you see, none of what you hear...I get it
My Uncle is also very adament that this boat was built in Italy; Left hand steering??? Could that be why it wasn't sold until 1972? Shipping it from over seas takes time, right?

Talks about the drive. Whether it's a TRS or a Merc III.
From my Uncle (the owner until just a few years ago):
"Stanley Brown, a jeweler in Pikesville Md. is who sold me the boat, which was stored at S.River at the time. The Original colors are what you...
Are you suggesting it's a '72? Hmmm, very interesting. I know the boat was once light blue (paint showing around the tag) and then it was all white...or vise versa. The TRS is not original and...
I'm excited for you, Steve. Let's do this!
I concur with Carl C., the name HAS GOT TO GO!!! :biggrin.: This was my Uncles boat and he had a blast with it in the mid 80's when McDonalds was booming. He had it in a few grand openings and the...
:frown: My 1973 Donzi GT 21' is back up for sale. $6K Call or text me: 410-206-6248. Thx, Bobby
I think I'll hold on to what I have and use this current configuration, at least until I can see how she does/performs. I believe I would have to change the cut out in the transom if I change to a...
Donzi_Dude may have a good point. Since I already have 'a system', why mess w/ it??? I've done a lot research and as we all know, sometime it hurts rather than helps. Some people are telling me...
Bill,
What about servicing and finding parts for this drive? I'm considering keeping the III drive but am concerned that finding a good tech to work on it and parts might be tough. Thx, Bob
About using my Merc III w/ the BW trans and speedmaster...I'm being told it steals too much pwr to run it, prob close to 50 HP. It's HEAVY! With this configurtation, the stern wants to drag so you...
Thx Mike. I struggled w/ this decision and as for today, I gotta be true and keep it. I have your info. You will be the FIRST person I contact if/when I change my mind.
Bill, maybe you can help me w/ pricing. Again, my Unlce was/is super knowlegable about what he had and tells me the Super Speedmaster LU was ~$15,000 when he purchased it in the 80's. That seems...
Thanks for the insight, Conquistador_del_mar. Much appreciated.
Jim/Bubble Bee;
I am keeping my boat. After L O N G, hard thinking...I can't let it go. I have an attachment w/ this...
Thx Bill. Very helpful info!
I need some help determining if my OD is a old Merc III or a TRS? Can anyone help?
I'm having several people tell me that my drive may NOT be a Merc III drive, but a TRS instead. I'm not sure what I have, to be honest :eek!: I'm also going back/forth on whether or not I should...
Jim, I sent you an PM. I'm very new to this site/registry so I'm hoping/trusting you got it.
what's the easiest way to got directly to classifieds? I keep putting it in the search bar. Surely there's a tab or something that takes me directly to it, right?
I have a Super Speed Master lower if you're interested.
