Steering position is determined by prop rotation. If your steering is on the port side, as I suspect it is, then the the prop should be a LH (counterclockwise) rotation. Consequently, the engine...
Bumping thread due to recent inquiries.
I just went through the inspection procedure for the Dustoff. It was fine. Took 15 min. They were friendly and cordial, and there was no charge.
That being said, I wouldn't want to wait in a long...
A few years ago during hurricane Irene I started up my Honda generator that had ten year old gas in it. It ran fine.
Eric
I'm fine.
Uh, how are you?
Success!
The material for the piping finally came in, and I sent it down to Donzi Direct along with my old seat cover. Sunny Lee at Donzi Direct was a pleasure to deal with, BTW. I just got the...
Just bumping the thread to the top to provide easy access to info for a recent inquiry.
Peace, y'all.
Eric
Scott, what's the OD ratio of the box? Mine is 1:1.1 (10% OD) w/ the small block. I've seen a 1:1.15 (15% OD) ratio in the big block boats.
Eric
Material is on "back order". I hope that's not code for "we don't make that color anymore".
I have to check back in a couple weeks. Gonna be a long couple of weeks. Grrrr!
Eric
I have one of those hoses that screws onto a fitting in place of the drain plug on the bottom of the pan. Poke the capped end of the hose through the transom drainplug hole, unscrew the cap and...
After having no luck with the samples that were sent to me by the supply houses either recommended to me by Bob, or that I found on a Google search, I struck out this morning on a hunting expedition...
So far I've been striking out with finding a match. The supplier in the NW sent three samples, but none are a match. I guess I can start visiting upholstery shops in my area on the off chance that...
Bob turned me on to a vinyl supplier in the northwest. They sent me a sample of what we thought would match the Inca Gold for the welting, but it didn't.
I snipped off a piece of the wetting from...
I received an email from one of the previous owners, and he filled me in on some of the boat's history. He sent me some pics of him towing it with a Corvette! He also told me he was the one who...
Just sent Mr Pearson a FB message.
BTW, off topic, I just heard of a Donzi meet in Mays Landing, NJ this coming Sunday. I'll be racing circles with the APBA in the Pro Stock (V-drive Flat) class...
Thanks for the post, Josh. So, what I need is enough Inca Gold piping to build just the bottom rear seat cushion for an old 18' 2+3. Did Scott Pearson's Thunder Chicken boat have gold piping? ...
I'll be there racing in the Pro Stock class with the APBA. (Lake Lenape)
Eric
Yes, Inca Gold seems to fit the description. If those are the original pieces (yes the back cushions have the V notch), I'm amazed at what great shape they're in! I guess the short boating seasons...
The rest of the interior is so supple (only a couple of small hard areas, but no cracks) that I can't believe it's original. The previous owner did work at a Donzi dealership in Lake George for a...
I also sent a PM to Built-Rite Bob. Bob, if you're monitoring this thread, please check your PMs.
Eric
Thanks for the responses, guys. I'll be calling PPI in the morning.
Eric
Is Built-Rite out of business for good, or did they sell their operation to a new owner? In any case, I need a rear seat bottom cushion for my '67 18' 2+3. It's brittle and cracking, but the rest...
Thread bump. Hopefully, with the economy picking up, there's a Century fan out there who's ready to restore one of these.
BTW, Happy New Year Donzi folks!
Eric
I have the mechanical sight gauge viewed through a glass portal cut into the ski tray which is hard to see under the best lighting conditions. It would be impossible to see it while holding the pump...
