My 67 ski sporter has the early style helm seat. It's pretty flimsy and doesn't provide much side support. If someone has the later style wrap around seat I'd like to hear from you.

There is just something special about a mohogany boat. What a great project. Hope I get to build one some day.
I have a '67 sporter and I've been thinking about some of the same mods particularly making use of the space under the front deck and stiffening that surface so that I'm not afraid to walk on it....
Garry,
I was cruising through your pictures of the Donzi restoration and it looks like we have a lot in common. I also have an '67 ski sporter (same color as yours with the Holman Moody package) and...
Mine has a fuel gage on the panel. I thought it was original but I guess not if the sight glass is there. I don't think the gage in the sight glass is still there.
My '67 ski sporter has an aftermarket electric fuel pump. Did it leave the factory with an electric pump or were the originals equipped with a mechanical pump?
No it doesn't have the 2bl carb. It came to me with a 4 bl Holley. Yes it has been painted I assume to the original colors. My eventual plan is to do a full restoration and paint it in shelby colors...
I'm interested in replacing the original driver seat on my 16 ski sporter so if you're willing to break up the set (and aren't trying to get rich) Post a photo and let's talk.

For some reason it only seems to be showing one picture (I uploaded 3) so I'll do a separate post for motor and outdrive photos

I found polished stainless items that look very similar at the "Ride the Waves" Ebay store and used the "make an offer" feature. 7 GBP ($11.28) ea. for the stands and 8 GBP ($12.89) each for the...
Can someone tell me what the sight glass in the floor of my '67 ski sporter is for. A previous owner drilled a second hole a few inches away to access the fuel line fitting on top of the tank but I...
72389723907239172392I haven't worked real hard but I did stick my head under the dash and didn't see anything.
If I could switch from chromed something to polished stainless I'd swap out all 6. If all I can find are more of the same "polished something" I might actually change to another style to get to...
The fittings on the grab rail for my '67 16 ski sporter are a little corroded and pitted. I haven't been able to find the original style online. Anybody have a source?
Anybody got a source for a cover that fits a 16 sport skier well?
My 67 16' sport skier has the original wooden knob on the shift/throttle but the emblem is missing. Is there a source for these emblems? Looks to be about 1 1/4" diameter.
72326I have a 67 16 sport ski with the early style driver seat. The back is so weak I'm afraid it's going to fail and leave me rolling on the floor while the boat's under throttle. If someone has one...
What was the designation for this boat? Last time I saw this barrel back configuration someone commented that it was probably one of many Donzi knock-offs because Donzi never manufactured a boat that...
I recently got interested in owning a vintage Donzi 16 but your boat is a pretty interesting project. Biggest problem is my location in Mississippi. Looks like you're in New Jersey? If you let it go...
