I would lean towards the 24 mirage props. My 27 sport and maltese both had the merc 280 motors and the 23 mirage was perfect. I looks like you will have more horsepower than I did.

Bellows for the shift cable can leak and not show when sitting. If it bothers you that much drill a hole to let the water out. :hyper:

The balance would be alot better with the small block. You wont like the way it porposes at cruising speed with the big block.

If you started it for 15 seconds in cold storage with no hose hooked up, you will need an impeller kit before the sea trial. I wont even roll mine over with no muffs hooked up. The pumps gets wiped...

When you get the drive down, leave it that way till spring. The drive should stored down to increase the life of the boots. They rot faster when stretched in the up position.

What type of water are you looking to use it in? My python jet with a 460 ford runs in the 90s. Throw in a little chop and my 68mph minx will run circles around it.
