Thanks you guys...much appreciated! I bought the boat about 5 years ago and just now noticed that. I am ALWAYS super diligent about running the bilge blower and sometimes opening the engine hatch...
I didn't even think of that aspect! Now I don't want to even use the boat until I correct that! My heart just sunk to the floor. Damn!
Hi all,
I have a '96 Classic 22 with a 502 EFI. I recently noticed that the flywheel doesn't have a cover in front of it and is exposed! Wondering if that is OK or if the hack I purchased the boat...
That looks really clean! I'm not so sure I want to eliminate the lifting ring in case I need to lift the boat off the trailer. On the other hand, I find the ski tow ring pretty useless. Maybe I could...
Great idea...thanks! I believe Perko makes bright work that's on the boat now...air vents, cleats, etc. I'll check it out.
Hi All,
I'd like to fly our American flag on my '96 22 Classic. I thought maybe a short pole that would fit into the anchor light socket. Does anyone know where I could buy one? Thanks for your...
Thank you Pat and Yeller for your responses...much appreciated. I've never experienced "suddenly out of control" and don't want to! You're probably running faster than I can go too. My top speed has...
Hi All,
I have a '96 22C with a 502MPI and a Bravo One OD. I'd like to ask your advice on the following two questions I have.
1.) I've had the engine fogged every year when I winterize it. A...
Looks like a pretty clean boat that was used on Lake Tahoe. I'm familiar with their dock in the photos. A VERY affluent area that leads me to believe the boat was well cared for.

Before you get in your car to go buy it, understand Lake Ozark is in MO...not MI.
I wanted to follow-up with you guys that offered advice/information...thanks again. The new control lever cables made a world of difference. Much smoother and easier operation. The mechanic that did...
The mechanic showed me where the splines on the steel shaft that comes out of the drive were filled with aluminum from the the splines on the engine side...I assume that’s the coupler. I don’t...
I'd like to thank all of you for input...this forum is priceless!
I've decided to stay with the stock control lever, partly because I've been given a $2,000 estimate to replace the drive coupler...
Hi all,
I purchased a '96 22C about 3 years ago and I've never been pleased with how stiff the throttle/shift lever is. I took the boat out on Lake Tahoe a couple days ago and it suddenly wouldn't...
Great photos. Looks like a really nice lake. I remember seeing my first Donzi in the covered wells in Harbor Springs, MI near there in the late 60's. A couple of the local wealthy families had them....
Good call...better safe than sorry. Bring that baby home and hopefully you'll get a chance soon to launch her and burn thru some fuel! Safe travels.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I put my 22 on a scale. The boat and trailer with 1/2 tank fuel weighed 4800 lbs.
God forbid, but what would a transmission rebuild cost?
Electric brakes are a huge bonus, however your tow vehicle might not have enough especially if you're towing thru some big hills/mountains. Make sure your mirrors are wide enough too.
Garelick makes both right and left hand controlled slides. Looks like they're made much better than the stock ones. The pedestal diameter and the bolt pattern under the seat (5" x 12") must be a...
I was able to find an older post that addresses this. Looks like I should throw the stock Donzi seat sliders in the trash and replace with Garelick. They offer a standard and a millennium version.
A corner of the aluminum bracket that the seat slides on one of my pedestal seats broke off. I'll take it to a shop and have it welded. Anybody know where I can get those plastic sleeves? I need to...
Would like to meet up with you guys sometime. I live in Grass Valley and trailer my 22 up to Tahoe a couple times every summer. Usually launch at the Coast Guard station. Let's do it!
