Not TRS. That is a Bravo 1 outdrive. It originally had the Volvo 280T. I changed that several years ago.

She lives again!
The old girl was getting very tired looking, gell coat cracks all along deck from previous owner hitting a dock, holes cut out of the engine hatch by me to make room for raised...
This is 30 year old gelcoat that was restored by a local proffessional. The blue sides and top stripe are better than new. The white polished up great, but had bleached whiter and mis-matched the...
Keep them both. They match very well in the driveway. I have both and can't justify getting rid of either.
Wow, very nice. I almost bought that boat around 1979? It was owned by a bank and sitting in Houston. When I saw it, it was not nearly as nice. Very utilitarian, some leaks, planks coming undone, but...
My baby donzi is faster than your baby donzi...
I had a Hydromotive on the old 280T drive.
I got the boat with the nosecone already on it. I ended up losing on one outing (probably not installed good) It was also slightly offcenter on the...
I ran synthetic 10W-40 in my old Volvo 280. My old manual recommended 10W-40 motor oil.

Thanks, but I think I'll stick with the 80 for now. Getting a little old to be running an 18' boat in the ocean at that speed; Like to watch my kids grow up

How true.
One time I took the old speedometer apart and adjusted the needle a bit on the higher side. It is amazing how many people believe that thing. :bonk:
No replacement for cubic inches!
Just swapped out my 350 short block for a 6" rod, full forged 406, 9.7:1 compression. All I can say is wow. Talk about a wakeup call. Not sure of the top speed yet...
Adib Mastry (of Mastry Engine Service in St. Pete. Fl.) put a Yanmar 300 inline 6 /Bravo on a 22.
Hot Boat MAgazine did a test on it about 5 years ago.

I will refrain from listing mine since it is in the middle of an engine change. Still a smallblock.....but a few more cubes will put it in a different category..

I have an external ram on Ebay. Bid currently at $1.00. I had this on my 18 Classic. It was tight without power assist. It developed a small leak and...
I had this on my 18 Classic. It was tight without power assist. It developed a small leak and instead of fixing it, I went ahead and changed it out to a full IMCO unit. Sold as-is.
Ebay item ...
SS Steering system. I had this on my 18 classic. It was accurate but tight when extended. It developed a slight leak. I replaced the entire system with a new Imco unit. May just need an O-ring to...
I had this on my 18 classic. I developed a small leak (probably just an o-ring) and was tight when extended because it previously had a slight bend in the shaft. This was repaired, but still tight...
When the Cigarette 20 was re-introduced a few years ago, Powerboat did a test with the Bravo III. The Bravo III is the twin prop version of the Bravo I. Tests were great and control was better than...
Very nice!
