I'm getting ready to winterize my 18 with volvo 280.
Would it be fair to say that a good quality 90 wt gear oil be the concesis of most on this board....Ed

Found a used one on Ebay for $35. a little wear but way better than mine.
Was able to combine the best parts from both and it seem fine, plan to install it tomorrow and try again. Still trying to...

I know the felling I just splashed my 18 after a lenghthy resto and am now dealing with a bunch of small issue. One being the locking mecanism.
The lower unit locks...

Does anyone have a good morse side mount like similar to the one attached?
Or better yet,are the gears for these old shifters spared, if so does any one have a source where I could get replacement...
